My name is Sandra and I’m working as
an international pricing and market analyst
within the commercial operations group.
My current role involves researches about competitors,
and analysing performance of our own pricing
strategy.
Well I would say that we set the pace as usual
and then our competitors follow.
Hilton I would say as an organisation is very
professional. The best thing about having a career
in the commercial operations group is that you
get to be at the forefront of every new technology.
Well some of the software I use actually allows
us to follow up on the performance of the various
products that we have – it does give us
information on how efficient our new strategy
is which is quite important information for our
revenue team and from there we can decide whether
or not to implement new promotions and whether
it contributes to the bottom line. Our function
is really much more supportive and giving the
foundation for future decision making.
When you think about the Elevator, Hilton has
been the first company to think about such a
programme. This is again a sign that Hilton is
thinking forward and thinking ahead of the competition.
I would definitely say that as an Elevator,
the world is yours because you get exposed to
the highest level of management and you have
so many doors open to you.
