My names is Estelle and I’m currently the front desk manager at the Hilton Venice. I considered joining Hilton because of the Elevator programme. I was looking for a programme where I could work in all the different depts, do interesting projects.

Opening a hotel is really great experience because you have a team of dynamic motivated people.

You’re all working together towards a common goal. You come there and there’s nothing and you set it up together and in the end you have your baby growing! The feeling when you’re first guest comes in the door – you feel like you’re welcoming him into your own home.

It is hard work but it’s so exciting it really makes it up.

Hilton puts a strong accent on the training. Hilton University is an online portal where all the team members of Hilton have access to over 500 course – management course and also language course. As an elevator you have to do a minimum of 25 course during your programme but it’s good to do more as you can do it anytime, anywhere and really learn a lot.

If you want to apply you really just have to have the passion and enthusiasm for the industry and the company and then it will be a really great experience.
